    Individual Session (50-55 min) $185

Debit cards, HSA cards, and credit cards are all accepted. A valid card on file is required. Payment is processed on day of service.

  • We currently only accept Premera and Lifewise for therapy sessions and evaluations.

For all other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance may reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. Typically 40-80%, depending on your plan.

For more information on insurance, see our Understanding Insurance info page.

  • We see clients on a weekly basis for at least the first 6-months of our time together. Weekly sessions support the establishment and growth of a relationship that fosters consistency and trust, which are integral to your success in therapy. After this initial period, you and your therapist can decide if biweekly sessions are right for you.

Monthly sessions will be considered for long term clients who feel they have met their goals and wish to meet for maintenance purposes. These sessions are not regularly scheduled and appointment times are based on therapist availability.

  • You must cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. You will be charged the full amount of the session fee for no-shows or late cancellations.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, the session will considered a no-show/late cancel. If you communicate that you are going to be late, the therapist will determine if the session can be conducted.

  • Green Coast Counseling offers a limited number of reduced fee spots for those looking for lower cost counseling. Please contact us regarding availability.

You an also check out Open Path Collective for available therapists offering sliding scale rates.

  • Will you contact my insurance company about coverage?

Yes. As a courtesy, we can contact your insurance company to ask about potential coverage for evaluation services. However, please note that any information we receive from your insurance company is not a guarantee of payment.

Insurance coverage can change at any time, and final decisions about payment are made only after your claim is processed. Because of this, you are responsible for all feesrelated to your evaluation, regardless of what we are told by your insurance company.

Do I need preauthorization for an evaluation?
Some insurance plans require preauthorization (or preapproval) before they will cover evaluation services.

If your plan requires preauthorization, we will attempt to request it on your behalf. However, your insurance company makes the final decision, and we cannot guarantee approval.

If authorization is not granted or your plan denies coverage, you will be responsible for the full cost of the evaluation.

Does insurance cover diagnostic or informational evaluations?

Many insurance plans do not cover diagnostic evaluations, and most will not cover assessments completed for informational or non-medical purposes (for example, evaluations for personal insight, educational planning, or career guidance).

If your insurance plan does not cover the type of evaluation you are requesting, the evaluation will be considered self-pay, and you will be responsible for the full fee.

Can I submit for reimbursement if my provider is out of network?

If we are out of network with your insurance, you can choose to pay privately and then submit a superbill (an itemized receipt) to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

We are happy to provide superbills upon request. Please let us know at time of scheduling if you would like to receive a superbill.

Please note that reimbursement for out-of-network services depends entirely on your insurance plan. You are responsible for contacting your insurance company directly to ask about your specific out-of-network benefits.

You can learn more about how out-of-network coverage works on our Understanding Insurance page.

  • Missed appointments for evaluations will be rescheduled at the evaluator’s discretion and based on availability.

No-call/no-show appointments may result in termination of the evaluation process.

Due to the time required to complete assessments and evaluations, if you are more than 10 minutes late, the session will considered a no-show/late cancel.

If you communicate that you are going to be late, the evaluator will determine if the session can be conducted.

Missed sessions may be rescheduled depending on the evaluators availability and may incur additional session fees.

  • I offer assessments virtually anywhere in Washington State. If you’re concerned about privacy or stigma, you may choose to pay privately rather than use insurance.

While my evaluations are legally and ethically valid, Washington State restrictions mean they cannot be used to qualify for government disability benefits. They also do not guarantee that a doctor will prescribe medication.

Assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis.
